Brittanni’s Triumph Over PCOS with the Carnivore Diet – Ketogenic Endurance

Hey, meat lovers! 🥩 Ever read a story that makes you want to jump up and shout, “See, I told you so!”? Well, buckle up, because Brittanni’s carnivore diet success story is that kind of ride. Diagnosed with PCOS, she was stuck in a cycle of pain, fatigue, and irregular periods. But guess what? She turned her life around, and how! This isn’t just another “I lost weight” story; this is a life transformation, people!

Brittanni’s Journey: From PCOS to Powerhouse

Brittanni, a devout Christian, was initially clueless about PCOS. She was eating everything—yes, everything—that came in shiny wrappers and fast-food boxes. But after a spiritual awakening, she decided to take control of her health. She started with keto but still felt the PCOS pain. Then she discovered the carnivore diet on Instagram, and boom! Life changed!

The Miracle of Regular Periods

Hold the phone! Regular periods? With PCOS? You betcha! Within just two months of going full carnivore, Brittanni started experiencing regular monthly cycles. Now, if you’ve never had to deal with the agony of irregular periods, you might not get it. But for those who do—this is monumental! The carnivore diet essentially reset her hormonal imbalances, making her periods as punctual as a Swiss train!

Bye-Bye, Fatigue and Pain!

But wait, there’s more! Brittanni also reported a significant decrease in fatigue and pain within three months. Imagine going from crippling pain to dancing around like you’re in a musical—that’s what we’re talking about here! The diet’s high nutrient density and absence of inflammatory foods like sugar and carbs were the game-changers.

So, what’s the big takeaway? Brittanni’s life has done a complete 180. She’s not just surviving; she’s thriving! And it’s not just about her; it’s about what the carnivore diet can do for anyone struggling with similar health issues. It’s not a fad, folks; it’s a lifestyle change that could very well be your ticket to a healthier, happier you!

Just a quick heads-up: This is a review of an older post, and while Brittanni’s story is awe-inspiring, we can’t confirm if she’s still reaping the benefits of the carnivore diet. Also, I’m not a doctor, so always consult with a healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet.

1) Introduce Yourself.

Hi, I am Brittanni aka @babycarnivore on Instagram. I am 30 years old. I am a born again believer in Jesus Christ. I also have PCOS. I am currently working on beginning a new career path and it is certainly 2 steps up from my last one. I enjoy going to the gym…which I never thought would be something I would ever say. I also enjoy my family, swimming, sewing, reading, and a lot of others things to be sure! I am terrible at talking about myself so that’s all you get for now.

I also wanted to thank you for inviting me to share my story with your blog. I am so excited and I do hope it helps someone out there!!

2) How did you eat before Carnivore.

Oh, I ate EVERYTHING! I mean that. I ate whatever I wanted and most of the times it was sugary and carb filled. Things that came in a wrapper on the aisles of the grocery stores and fast food.

3) Why did you try Carnivore to begin with.

When I was diagnosed with PCOS I hadn’t the slight idea what that even meant. I researched it and researched it. I needed answers so I could understand what it meant. I found out I needed to change the way I ate completely but really I didn’t make the changes I knew I needed to make. I kept spiraling deeper into pain, depression, and weight gain. It wasn’t until I repented and asked God to come and take control of my life that my perspective on health changed. It was that initial change that made me want to take control of my health. It was knowing I wanted to glorify God with my life and not being able to walk and run affected my ability to serve as I should. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 is a wonderful verse that is wholly related to the reasoning behind the person you see now. God is the reason I sought to better myself and change my health. I am who I am because of the holy spirit inside of me. At the beginning I started on keto but still had pain related to the PCOS. I found Carnivore, funny enough on Instagram.

4) How do you personally approach the Carnivore Diet.

I see it as a woe (Way of eating) a lifestyle. I don’t and won’t ever refer to it as a diet. DIEt as you see has the word die in it. So I equate that to the mindset we take with a diet. It is short term and doomed to die off, most likely in a very negative way. Referring to carnivore as a way of eating helps my mind relate it to a long term, everyday decision.

5) What benefits have you seen since starting the Carnivore Diet.

My goodness the benefits. With PCOS there is irregular periods, fatigue, pain, and plenty more. Within the first 2 months I was having regular monthly periods. Throughout the first three months there was a decrease in fatigue and pain. You have no idea what it is like to not be in crippling pain every month!!! It is a life changer! #meatheals

6) What negatives have you found with the Carnivore Diet.

I think the few negatives I have are because of my occasional laziness. It is frequent cooking and because of the cooking there is often a lot of cleaning up afterward. You also really need to meal prep in some shape or form. I will also say the constant explaining I have to do when I eat in front of others. It is even worse when those people are not very open minded or understanding. Fortunately those people are few and far between.

7) Do you exercise on the Carnivore Diet, if so how do you find it and what do you do.

I do! I attend the gym 3-4 maybe 5 times a week. I also have a group I just began, 30 day warriors on facebook and IG. Health and taking control of your health has become a passion of mine and I enjoy doing it on the premises of bettering ones self through glorifying our God.

I knew at 6 months I wanted to get fit to encourage activity after adjusting the way I ate. I walked into Iron Works fitness and met Scott. After that it was an amazing adventure I have now been doing it for almost 10 months. When there I do a lot of weight lifting and power lifting. So things like dead lifting, low bar squats, bench press, and cardio. Ugh, yes the cardio sucks!

8) What piece of advice would you give someone who is interested in trying this diet, but hasn’t taken the leap yet.

Take the 30 day challenge. The reason I do really push for the full 30 is there will be an amount of time where you experience flu like symptoms and detox symptoms while the sugar and carbs leave your body. You body will need time to adjust and heal. When you break your limb and get a cast you don’t expect you limb to just be better the next day because of the cast. You have to wear that cast while the bone beneath heals. This is the same with your body. Give it time. Hydrate, hydrate, and more hydration.

You will have cravings, for me the cravings still come. Some say they go cravings free and never have them. Mine got less frequent but I still have them. I do indulge in them as well, not frequently. Don’t be afraid to treat yourself if that helps you continue the journey. Don’t beat yourself up if you have a piece of bread. That is not good for your mental stability. Enjoy it. Don’t dwell and then move on.

9) Do you think Carnivore will ever be accepted as a mainstream diet.

I think anything can become mainstream when enough people are doing it. Atkins, paleo, vegan, and so on. These all started out the same as carnivore but I do believe eventually it will become another mainstream way to eat.

10) Anything you would like to add, and where can people follow your journey.

Like anything else, this is not a one size fits all. If you do decide this is something you want to start I do really highly suggest the first few weeks remain simple beef and water without the added ingredients. I only suggest this to allow your body time to adjust and also gives you time to add things in one by one to see if your body can handle those other ingredients. By other ingredients I mean bone broth, cheese, cream cheese, eggs, and ect…. by no means am I saying never to add those things but in the beginning keep it simple. I also don’t suggest heavy intensive exercise until you can understand how much food you are needing.

You can find me on IG @babycarnivore. On facebook I have a group called 30 day warriors where we encourage others to do 30 day challenges and complete together. That group is also on IG @30daywarr. It is new and I am hoping it will grow!

Thanks for reading, Steven
