Frozen Marshmallow Mudslide

When the Mr. and I go out for a date, he goes for the beer and I always go for the fruity drinks like pina coladas! I don’t like beer and have never had more than a few sips of one, so I joke that I just like to go for the hard liquor. While I’m not one to regularly imbibe, and one glass of wine usually puts me to sleep, I thought it would be great fun to come up with an original (at least to me, anyway!) alcoholic beverage.

Frozen Marshmallow Mudslide

Mudslides have always been one of my favorites, so I had to come up with my own recipe!
I think you’ll enjoy how cold and refreshing this easy cocktail can be, especially on a hot summer day or evening.
It’s the perfect adult frozen drink.

Ingredients for a Frozen Marshmallow Mudslide

What’s in this Frozen Mudslide cocktail?

There are only a handful of ingredients in this easy cocktail! Here’s what you’ll need:

1st set of process photos for a Frozen Marshmallow Mudslide.

How do you measure liquor?

I’m no bartender, but I’ve picked up a few tricks along the way. You can buy measured pour spouts to dispense liquor accurately. Or you can use a jigger, a measuring tool to help you pour equal shots.

If you don’t have something to measure your liquor with accurately, you can free-pour your liquor. Using a pour spout, It takes one second to pour ½ ounce.

  • Turn the bottle upside down to begin the pour. Say “1-one thousand”, then stop the pour, and you’ll have roughly ½ ounce.

If all else fails, 1/2 ounce is roughly equal to 1 tablespoon of liquor.

How to make a Frozen Mudslide with marshmallow vodka

  1. Pour your homemade marshmallow vodka into a blender. Add the coffee liquor, Irish cream liquor, coffee creamer, and milk. Place ice into the blender and put on the lid.
  2. Pulse to crush the ice, or use your blender’s ice setting.
  3. To serve, pour some chocolate sauce into a shallow bowl and dip the top of the glass into it. Drizzle chocolate syrup into the bottom and up the sides of the glass. Pour the contents of the blender into the glass, then slice a toasted marshmallow and place it on the rim of the glass.
  4. Repeat as desired for your entire party!

Recipe Variations

  • With all those incredible flavors of vodka out there, there is no limit as to what kind of mudslide you can make! I saw chocolate whipped cream vodka and thought that would have been an awesome one to try, too.
  • You can use half-and-half or heavy cream in place of the coffee creamer.
  • Top the drink with marshmallow fluff and chocolate shavings instead of toasted marshmallows.
  • Use a hot fudge swirl instead of chocolate syrup for a slightly different flavor in the “mud” of your mudslide cocktail.
  • Add graham cracker crumbs to the rim of your glass and call it a Frozen S’mores mudslide!

Is there a way to make this Frozen Marshmallow Mudslide non-alcoholic?

Yes! To make a virgin marshmallow mudslide, combine the milk, ice, and coffee creamer with 1/4 cup of cold coffee and 1 tablespoon of toasted marshmallow syrup. Blend and serve as directed.
